Ragen Kinney

Mrs. Kinney received a Master’s of arts In teaching from the University of Portland and has many years of teaching experience in a variety of school settings. Mrs. Kinney is married to her husband Mike and has two daughters. As a family, the Kinneys enjoy outdoor activities like hiking camping, and taking their two Labradoodles for a walk. 

In second grade, students continue to build on a strong academic foundation in reading. For math, students study addition, subtraction, place value, problem-solving, multiplication, and division. In spelling/English, students will work on word recognition, vocabulary, and grammar. History lessons cover early American and cultural history. Science lessons explore where things live, how they work, and much more.

Mrs. Kinney’s objective is to help nurture and assist the students with meeting their full potential academically, emotionally, and socially. She enjoys partnering with parents to help their children be successful! She feels extremely blessed to be teaching this year at City First Christian Academy!
