First and foremost, my passion in life is to worship the Lord and show His love to those around me. One of my favorite activities in life is studying the Word of God, and my heart is centered around being in His presence, experiencing His goodness, and sharing it with others. My favorite Scripture is when Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me.” (Mark 9:37). This represents the core foundation of my ministry in teaching and cultivating a student-centered classroom. About 25 years ago, I received my ministry license through the Foursquare Church in Child Education and served as a Children’s Pastor in Temecula, California. Additionally, I have 20 years of experience teaching in Title I schools as a paraprofessional and holding positions in Special Education and administration.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I got married in Long Beach and enjoyed raising my three sons in Temecula, surrounded by my loving family. In 2007 I moved to a small farm in Sweet Home, Oregon, and worked in various schools throughout Linn County. I started subbing three years ago at City First Christian Academy and I deeply appreciated the community of genuine believers and loved teaching the stellar students there. After one of the teachers at WCS went on maternity leave, I was offered the interim 1st-grade teacher position in 2021. This brings me to the current 2022-23 school year, in which I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten! I love my students and find the greatest pleasure in seeing them learn new concepts and watching their confidence soar. Their joy is the brightest part of my day.

When I am not teaching my wonderful students, I usually spend time with my grandchildren, watching their sports games, or hiking along the beautiful Calapooya or Willamette River. I also love visiting the Oregon Coast, where I encounter God’s multifarious displays of beauty. Being a teacher at CFCA has contributed unspeakable joy to my life and I feel extremely grateful to be a part of your child’s spiritual and academic development.
