Tyler-Dragt

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

Mr. Dragt joined City First Christian Academy in 2015 and is happy to have found a place where students can glorify and praise God. He enjoys the family atmosphere at CFCA and the rapport between the office, staff, students, and their families.

Each grade level that Mr. Dragt teaches has varying physical education needs. Pre-K through second-grade students focus on learning basic motor skills and spatial awareness. Third through fifth-grade students are introduced to seasonal sports and learn how to contribute and cooperate as part of a team. Middle school students receive an overview of an overall healthy lifestyle, along with knowledge of seasonal sports.

Mr. Dragt graduated from New Hope College with a bachelor’s degree in Christian education. He and his wife, Naomi, have a son named Ben. They also share their home with Logan, their beloved dog. In addition to being CFCA’s PE teacher, he coaches freshman basketball at Elmira High School.

“It is my hope that students discover how valuable each person is within a team environment. I want students to be confident and desire to push themselves physically and mentally farther than they think they can go.”
