Melissa Long

Mark 2:17 Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick, I have not come to
call the righteous, but the sinners.”

Melissa has been a part of the school community as a parent since 2013 and a member of the governing school board from 2017-2022. She was hired as the Executive Director for the 2022-2023 school year, bringing nearly twenty years of corporate management experience with her. She is married to Nathaniel, the school’s facility manager, and together they have four children. Her spare time includes driving her kids to basketball, football, track, and dance. Any additional time is spent outdoors, either camping in the mountains or at the coast. Her favorite destination is the ocean, where you cannot help but marvel at God’s creation.

The Long family has acreage just outside of west Eugene where they are usually on a tractor or an ATV with three dogs chasing them around. Always a controversial topic, she is Duck fan, as an alumna of the University of Oregon’s Business School. She was born and raised in Eugene, and lives only a few miles away from her childhood home.
